I'm making Christmas goody baskets for everyone this year. Only thing is one of the cookies I planned to put in the basket was a thimble cookie. I can make them, freeze them and put the jam in them just before sending out the baskets but I like to put the jam in before I cook the cookie and wondered if anyone knew if the jam would freeze okay.

I would think it would be ok. They have PB&J sandwiches in the freezer section of the supermakets. The jam in those come out fine when they are defrosted. Maybe you can make a small batch and freeze a couple overnight to test it out, if all else fails the kids get a nice treat.

My DH grandmother makes "freezer jam". So I would think It would be perfectly fine in the freezer.

You are getting started on your Christmas Cookies???? I feel like such a slacker.
