No suggestion but what about just setting up a jar to collect the money in until the layaway opens up??

By Brandy on Thursday, September 29, 2005 - 11:09 pm:

Brandy, check the men's section. I've got a couple pair of men's lined nylon pants that are SO comfortable. They were about half the price of the women's.

I swear by targets workout clothes. Great quality great prices. I shop their clearance rack yearround and often find pieces for about 5 -10 dollars. I am not sure if they do a layaway plan though.

Walmart does layaway and I am sure they have work out clothes too.

I don't know...I don't buy workout clothes because of physical problems, but I do know that Wal-mart has their Christmas Layaway already going on, so you can lay them away in their Christmas layaway and not worry about picking them up till you are ready!

Brandy, I buy my workout stuff at Target. But, I know they don't have layaway. I have seen things at Wal-mart though, so that sounds like a good place to check.

I get mine at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Name brands but way cheap.

By Mrsheidi on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 07:10 pm:

What's layaway?
And, I'm with Andi...I get my workout clothes at Old Navy. I LOVE their yoga pants. I wear them around the house too.

Ummmmm....Layaway is what some department stores have available. You take everything you want to the layaway department, pay so much down, usually 10%, and they keep it for you while you make payments either every two weeks or every month, or more often if you wish, until you pay it off and take it home.

Kind of like credit, only there are no interest fees, and you don't get the merchandise until you pay it off. That way, you can get things you want without worrying they will sell out, when you don't have the money to pay for it.

We went to Wal-mart several weeks ago and put a lot of Christmas stuff on layaway. That way, we can pay on it from now till Christmas and won't have to come up with a large amount of money all at once.

At meijer it is 10% our policy is anything over $200 is 45 days plus you can have two two week extensions if it's under $200 it's for only 30 days plus two two week extensions right now though for the holiday season when we open back up it will be until Dec.15th that we would let you keep your layaways in usually it's Sept.15-Dec.15th but we have been closed for awhile due to the remodel = ) ...
