I just read in my local paper that in a few weeks all cell phn numbers are going to be released to telemarketers. You will be charged minutes for these calls. So if you dont want them to call you you need to either call the federal do not call list from you cell phn at 888-392-1222 or register your cell number at www.donotcall.gov.

Urban Legend. It has been an urban legend for a long time. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/cell411.asp

Thanks:) My home # was registered but now I will do the cell. I just called that 888 # and its not working, or maybe the wrong # so I just did it online. The correct # is 1-888-382-1222.
Kris you were just 1 digit off on the #:)

Whoops silly fingers. I looked this up on snopes by the link that ginny provided and while it doesnt appear that it is necessary to list your cell numbers I dont think it would be harmful to make sure that they change their mind in the future.

Can't do any harm by putting your cell # on the do not call list.
