Big Chested ladies?

I am not that big only about a d/dd. But I am having the hardest time finding a shirt that I can wear that is decent and they don't fall out. I guess it is the style or something, but when I went shopping for some clothes with my birthday money, I bought a shirt and safety pins, but when I got home the safety pins didn't really work and if I got it any bigger it wouldn't fit right in the other places. I wear a 16/18 shirt (XL) so I am bigger anyway. But with breastfeeding and all, I am just having a really hard time. If you are big chested where do you buy your shirts that are still in style but you don't fall out?? Dh laughed at me yesterday I was getting ready for church and I yelled "stupid boobies!" I couldn't keep them covered! Also I need something that is easy to BF in. I guess I am askign too much. lol Thanks for any responses.

Have you tried shopping some place like Lane Bryant or in the Women's department?

By Trina~moderator on Monday, September 12, 2005 - 02:07 pm:

Sorry, I'm definitely not big chested so I can't help you there, but when I was BF I loved my nursing shirts from Motherwear.

OMGoodness, I love that site, thanks Trina, they don't even look like nursing tops. :)

Jann, no never tried Lane Bryant, do they have nursing shirts or are they just for bigger women?

By Vicki on Monday, September 12, 2005 - 02:42 pm:

Not that I need Motherwear, but I just clicked on the link to check them out and those tops are cute!!

By Jann on Monday, September 12, 2005 - 04:05 pm:

I think just for bigger busted women.

Amen, sister. I'm a D and a DD while breastfeeding. While I'm not BF anymore, I do have to buy a stretchie type of fabric. Rarely do I buy anything anymore with buttons. I just POP out and it's SO SO SO frustrating! You feel SO limited.
I just recently went to the Gap and bought some short sleeve stretch shirts in a Large size. I'm a size 10 below so I like to show off what waist I DO have. Otherwise, I have to buy a size 16 top and it looks so big on me.
Try a V neck, stretchie material that comes in at the waist. The Gap, Old Navy, and Target have some good clothes that are made of this fabric. (V necks look good on us since it prevents that Uni-Boob look and stay away from buttons and snaps.)
I wish we could go shopping together!! I go with my cousin and best friend and it's so depressing...they are a size B and a size 2 or 4 below...ugh. They can get ANYTHING off the rack.
I DREAD shopping, don't you?

I totally dread it..DH has to drag me out to go shopping for myself. I LOVE to go shopping for the girls though..LOL

I just wore big T-shirts and nursed by lifting the bottom. I found that way I could do it in public, even without anything covering us up and nobody seemed to notice.

I ended up lifting the tee shirt too. I would throw a light baby blanket over my chest. The nursing shirts got to be boring and expensive after a while. I had to by really big bras though... 36F when he was really nursing.

I am not sure why the tops aren't covering you. I can see the sleeveless shirts not covering because of the arm holes....

Oh you want to be in style... now that is tight form fitting thin shirts... (I think...) I don't think that is a good idea with nursing...
