I am too tired to go look for the link but our news ran a report about how we are expecting victims in Ohio by the end of this week.. When I find out more I will post it.. They are bring them into Columbus but we have towns all over Ohio ready to step up and help...

It's a good thing they decided not to close the ANG base, huh? :) Good for Battle Creek and Grand Rapids! I'm proud to call that part of MI "home" as well, even if I haven't lived there in 15 years! lol :) (It will always be "home" to me)

Oh Bobbie, when you find it please post it! I too am from Ohio and when they have been talking about the different states that are taking them in, Ohio has never been mentioned and I have been getting more and more mad that we aren't doing it! I would love to know where they are coming and if something is close enough, to be able to go help!! Thanks!!

Forgot to mention, the lady that I walk with has a niece that lives in Columbus and her dh is in the guard and left with his unit yesterday. She heard from him today and they are in Biloxi (sp?) So glad that some Ohioans are there helping!!

Wisconsin is expecting about 5000 evacuees, also! The school districts have been told to enroll the children that come!

As of last week we had 7000 or 9000 in Arkansas? Dont know how many we have now.

I was at the mall earlier and I overheard a lady on her cell phones talking about when they were planning to go back and check on their homes, etc... :( Obviously they were hurricane victims. I couldnt help but hear the lady, we were searching through the same sale rack in Dillards.

So many states are being so helpful. Its nice to see!!

Yes it is nice to see ! I was just watching the 5:00 news here in Michigan and they were
showing the evacuees arrive at the
airport in kalamazoo.
They will be staying at a military base close by.I`m so glad so many states are helping out and welcoming the evacuees !!!!
