Just one of those days....

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive August 2005: Just one of those days....
By Kernkate on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 - 10:51 am:

the weather is really yucky here, pouring rain.
As I should not complain after seeing what people are going thru with Katrina.
I just went to put a load of clothes in my dryer and I could smell a wire or rubber burning! Gees so I guess its time to invest in a new dryer. I have 4 loads of clothes and I can't even hang them on the line because its going to rain till Thursday:(
Whats next!!!
Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better now:)

Sorry about the dryer. Maybe you need to clean out the hose??

It's pouring rain here too. I like a day like this everyonce in awhile. It gives me a reason to laze around the house in my pajamas all day. lol

(((Kathy))) Don't you hate days like that? How old is your dryer? Have you replaced the hoses and fittings in the last 5 years? I hope everything works out.

I just had a friend of ours come by who repairs appliances and its some wires in the back that burned. Its an older dryer, so I guess I am going to get a new one. God knows I get my use out of the dryer especially with the winter months coming.
I will have to get DH to take me to Home Depot, soon!

My washer died not too long ago, and I know how stressful that can be. I hope the dryer gets fixed or replaced soon. ((HUG))

You are supposed to replace the hoses and fittings every five years?
