For those of you who don't listen to much news, the shuttle is launching today at 9:30 ish (a touch before). Being in houston this is a big big deal. Our favorite coach from swim team, conner, his dad is going up, he has been in quarantine since july 6!

About 10 minutes to go...
I always watched the launches.
Thought and prayers to the crew.

We missed the launch, we were at swimming lessons. My dh wants to go down to Kennedy some day to watch a launch. He is so into this stuff!

I saw a launch once when we were at Melbourne Beach. It was very far away but we did see a little tiny shuttle in the sky (at least it looked tiny from where we were) and we certainly felt the rumble. It felt like an earth quake. It was pretty cool. I remember thinking "please don't blow up, please don't blow up" because the last time I had watched a launch (on t.v.) was the Challenger.
my thought and prayers are with that crew too. They are very brave folks!

I'm glad they made it up there okay! Phew! I would think it would be soooo cool to see a space launch! I'm way too far away, in WI, though!
