I will be cleaning this lady's house, and she asked me how much would I charge to steam clean her living room carpet. I would be using her steam cleaner and formula, I would just be getting paid for my labor. So, for just the living room, how much do you think is fair to charge?

Well, if you are getting paid by the hour, I would just figure about how long it will take you to do it and charge her that much. It doesn't take me too long to do my carpets, so I don't think I would pay more than 30 to 40 for it. But it also depends on how big the room is.

Depends on how big the room is and how dirty the floor is. If you think you are going to have to go over it a few times because it's dirty than I would charge more.
It's hard to say how much if I don't know what size the room is.

Are you going to have to move the furniture?? Take that into consideration, as well as the size of the room and how dirty the carpet is. The local carpet cleaning places around here charge anywhere from $60 to $200 for a room, and it is dependent on those 3 things. So it seems to me you'd have to charge less than the professional places, which bring their own equipment, etc.
