Kid's garage band, going nuts....

The neighbor's kid, my 16 yo and a friend are outside between our houses practicing. I thought that just them repeating one section of "smoke on the water" over and over for hours was bad but now they are "singing". They sound like they are whipping cats. OMG. I am going NUTS. How do balance creativity w/ driving you crazy. And no, neither we or our neighbor actually have a garage so they are out in open air. Probably driving my neighbors crazy for 1 mile square. Ugh.

LOL! Lots of dd's friends have "bands." Sometimes it's very painful, but ALWAYS amusing!:)

LOL! Boy, can I relate to that! Both of my DS's were/are in bands. When they were in the 14-17 year age group, the *music* was HORRIBLE! Painful to have to listen to it. And why is it that all young people that start bands have to play Smoke on the water?!? UGH! I think if I ever hear that song again, it will be too soon!

They have switched to Iron Man AAARRGGG.... LOL

Boy, did this bring back memories. When I was growing up our next door neighbor had a teenager who was a drummer in a band. They practiced in the basement but of course we could hear them. The neighborhood kids would congregate in our yard and we would dance and sing. Not sure if they were any good or not but we thought it was COOL. LOL!

Oh, another memory... When DS was a toddler we were living in temporary housing one summer while our house was being built. A teen punk rock band practiced every afternoon. ARGH! It was very loud and AWFUL! Of course DS couldn't nap and after it went on for a week I called the police. I felt awful but DS was a BEAR without his nap. Thankfully, they changed their practice time to early evening and although still annoying, it didn't disrupt our schedule.

My dh had a "garage band" when he was a teenager. Now he has band practice every Friday night in our barn.LOL!
My MIL said the neighbors complained so dh put egg cartons and some other type of sound barrier material between the walls and that helped a lot.
Hey , maybe your ds and his friends will get together and build a band room? At least
it will be quieter for a while .
And I have to say
I LIKE Iron Man LOL !
