Technical Computer Question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive July 2005: Technical Computer Question

My computer has been coming up lately with the exclamation mark in the bottom toolbar telling me my "Virtual Memory Minimum is too low" and it's increasing my virtual memory paging file for me. This has been coming up a couple of times a day. I looked in Help and found a glossary of what virtual memory is, but nothing too deep. Anybody have any clues how I can fix this permanently? I have PLENTY of memory space left on my system BTW.

Also, do you all store ALL of your photos on your computer? We have up to this point and now I'm wondering if I might start taking some older ones off the system. They are all backed up on cd's anyway.

I FINALLY found some info on the MS website. I think I may have fixed it. If anyone else needs this info, the website is:

I am glad you found the fix...I always just up the settings for virtual mememory.
As I back up the pictures I take them off the computer, only leaving the ones for my screen saver.
