Ladies in that area, I hope you are all safe! I am thinking of you! Keeping my eye on that next system.....

I hate summer for this reason! LOL Power just came back on. Lots of wind and rain, I've been up since 2. I heard it coming through, and I'm such a sissy about storms. LOL Actually, I went outside about 2:45 this morning to see *how bad* it was - and I caught 3 of my neighbors doing the same thing! It wasn't bad, but the wind scares me and there's a lot of tree debris and stuff to clean up. I did notice that the Little Tykes thing in the back yard for Madison almost lost it's roof - we were really unprepared - call us clueless.

*IF* we still get to go on vacatin Saturday, we have to worry about DENNIS hitting the New Orleans area rather than FL - don't know which is worse at this point! But I guess we should put some things out of harms way before we leave, if we can leave.

DH is jealous - he couldn't have coffee this morning, so he drove to work @ 5 AM. *I* have coffee!!!!

Thanks for thinking of us - I'm sure all of us in this area are fine, this didn't even make it to hurricane strength, so that's good news. The one to watch now is DENNIS.

I was watching the weather channel and was also thinking of you Karen.
Hope all works out well for you vacation on Saturday.
I hope everyone else who is in Cindy's path is weathering the storm.

The irony of all this is, here in houston we have had one 5 minute rain shower in the past 40ish days, we desperately need rain. We were all hoping for cindy to hit here!

I went to work and the power was off so I came home and cleaned up the yard. I was amazed at the number of trees and power lines/poles down and the roofs blown off of small structures! This was only the OUTSIDE edge of a tropical storm! I worry about the next one......

I'm waiting for my boss to call and say the power is on and I'll go back to the office. I figured why sit there in the dark and sweat when I could be busy at home?

We were under a tornado watch here in Northern Alberta yesterday but luckily nothing came from it.

We didn't get a single drop of rain in Baton Rouge. :( I was actually looking forward to at least a few good squalls. DH just turned on the sprinkler out front. *sigh*

We had 6" here, Pam - want some of it? LOL
