Yard sale signs

So why dont most people take them down? This has always something that bugged me LOL..I take early morning walks. So yesterday I was out walking, so at least 5 signs for Yard Sales that were for Saturday only. This morning I was out again, same signs up. I also see signs up from yard sales weeks ago..hmmm..
We have only ever had one yard sale. We put our signs up the night before. Once the yard sale was cleaned up, my husband went and got all the signs we put up. I guess we are not the norm.
Is this common practice where you live, to leave signs up?

Yes.......and it is just laziness and lack of consideration on the part of the people who initially placed the signs.......

OMG! yes. It drives me crazy! Absolutely crazy. And there are tons of yard sales around here, so you have to read through them good to make sure they are recent ones.

And some people put tons of them up, like everywhere, and then refuse to take them down. Come on, you know these people are driving right past them on several occasions, why can't they just jump out and take them down????

I agree that they are an eye-sore. I also think the city/town should charge them, after one week, for littering fees!
Write to the paper with an editorial, this might help.

In the town we use to live in they did charge you. If the sign was not removed with in a day of the sale you were charged. Not a HUGE fee but a fee and they would remove them. They also had regulations on how big the signs can be and where they can be placed. Here they hand until they rot..

Hang not hand.

Drives me crazy also...I always hang the signs the night before and take them down as soon as the sale is over.
Election signs also bother me, they seem to stay out for weeks after the election is over.

I have been known to remove signs and deliver them to their houses...LOL
