What did/are you doing today?

Today is my lazy day. DH and I went on a date last night to the beach and to see a movie (Mr. and Mrs. Smith which btw, was great!) and we got home after midnight so I told him I was sleeping in. I woke up to breakfast in bed. I ate. DD went down for her morning nap an hour later and both DH and I went back to bed too. Our doorbell rang a few times but we didn't want to be bothered. We finally got up for the day at 1:00. Took a shower, got dressed in comfy clothes since the weather is icky and now we're just lounging again. I like days like this. He's making steak for dinner. My Mom has a date tonight so it's just us and DD. The house is dirty but I don't care. Life is good today, lol. Who would have ever imagined that laziness would feel so great. :)

We were lazy today, too. We were getting alot of rain from TS Arlene so we just lounged around. I didn't even get dressed. I watched the Food Network this afternoon and read. Dh worked on dd's computer, the kids have been playing with friends, very nicely, I might add, so it's been a very peaceful day. I did drive my older dd to a friend's house to sleepover and I made m&ms cookies and am making homemade pizza for dinner, but all slowly with no rushing. :)

I had a Pottery Painting Party at my house. We had so much fun and I think everyone made some pretty amazing pieces of art. :)

Grocery shopping, LOTS of errands getting odds and ends to send my oldest DS off to Boy Scout Camp for a week tomorrow, did 7 loads of laundry, cut out fabric so I can piece a new quilt tomorrow, and finished up my Sunday School lesson. Quite a busy day here today, but tomorrow promises to be much more relaxing. :)

Not lazy here. Yesterday we spent the day cleaning the house and running errands preparing for DD's birthday party this afternoon. We also have good friends visiting from out of state. Busy, busy! :)

Pam, I hear ya on the LOTS of errands to get a kid ready for camp. I'm so sick of Walmart, I could scream.

We had to get up bright and early yesterday to my older daughter to church by 7am. She was going to be leaving for her mission trip at 7:30am. She is going to Kentucky to fix houses. They left at 7:55am.

Then out for breakfast and hang out around the house.

Around 5:30pm, went to a graduation party. That was fun. About 9:00pm, a friend who I don't get to see very often, stopped by, with all but one of her kids. Since it had been a while, since I'd seen her last, I found out that she had traded all her kids in for bigger models! Wow, the youngest one is almost 4 and definitely not a toddler anymore! LOL!

We went to the Creole Tomato Festival in the French Quarter (The New Orleans area needs no reason to hold a festival!). All these local festivals are free. Of course, anything you eat, you have to pay for, except for the samples. This was similar to the French Quarter Festival, only on a much smaller scale, in and around the Quarter and near the Riverwalk, with food selling booths and several bands. We at at a Brennans restaurant, Mr. B's, which, if any of you visit our city in the future, is an EXCELLENT restaurant! Mostly we just walked around and took more photos for the photo project I'm working on. It was supposed to rain, but it was HOT. We like to take advantage of these festivals when we can. There were also free tastings of Creole tomatoes - if you've never had them, they are the absolute BEST! They are only in season a short time. It was a long day - walking for 6 hours - and we spent a lot of time browsing at the French Market and the flea market because I was looking for a particular candle - but that candle maker wasn't there yesterday, but VERY fun!

My sister had some stuff my daughter could use, when she goes off to horse-camp next week. So, we met about half-way, took both our daughters to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and then went out to eat! It was fun! I loved the movie!
