Ok so my digital camera was stolen yesterday (thats a whole other rant in its self), I went on to overstock.com and ordered another one. That was all I ordered, that was the only thing I put in my shopping cart. I recieved 2 order confirmations from them. Frantically I check to make sure they didn't bill me for it twice. Nope they sure didn't but they did take the liberty to order me a $132.90 matteress cover that won't fit any of my beds. I called to tell them they need to cancel the order because I didn't order it and I wasn't going to pay for it. They pretty much told me too bad so sad! I have to wait until it gets here and if I want my money back I have to pay $10 for their carrier to pick it up but that they will pay the postage to ship it back. So my husband calls the credit card company and they put him through to the fraud department just to find out that they have had nothing but problems with this place. GRRR I am so angry. Now I am out $132.90 until they get around to shipping it to me, their courier comes to pick it up and they recieve it back. Then at that time they will put the money back in my account. But the bottom line is I did not order it and they have my money. They only other one that was home was my 3 year old and I know she didn't order it. So buyers beware!

Can you not ask the credit card company to reverse the charge and then if you still receive the item, ship it back COD. If they want it back, let them pay for it.
Thanks for the warning.

I've never had any problems with Overstock.com, but your hubby is doing the right thing. Personally, I would call them back, and speak to someone else, ask for a supervisor. As for shipping, they usually use USPS, or UPS for bigger items, so you shouldn't need to pay pick up if you do have to wait. Definitely call back, and speak to someone else though, if it was their error they should fix it, and I've actually had a rep from Overstock help me fix an error I made when ordering, so it's probably just the person you spoke with.

The credit card company told him that we have to wait until it posts and then they can dispute it. I have called and talked to several different people at overstock and they all say the same thing once the order is placed there is nothing they can do. They gave me the name of the carrier but I forgot what it was, it wasn't ups or fed ex.
