For those of you who had high blood pressure during pregnancy, how long postpartum until it was normal again? I just went to the doctor again yesterday and it's still 138/90 sitting up. It was 110/70 laying on my left side. It's been higher than that, but it's not coming down quick enough for me. I just curious if anyone can remember?

I don't remember. I had that problem when I was pregnant, but as far as I can remember, once I delivered, my B.P. went back to normal range.

I had HELLP syndrome with Timmy. Everything including my BP was back to normal right after delivery.

That's what I was afraid to hear. I had moderate to severe pre-eclampsia with both kids. With my first, I was on meds. for about 3 months after delivery. I can't be on meds this time because my pressure is perfect as long as I'm resting.

Oh well! I guess I'll have to cancel that trip to King's Island in a couple of weeks.
