Memorial Day Plans?;

Ours will be B O R I N G! It is raining pretty hard and expected to rain all day. UGH!!!!!! We had planned to grill later but considering how the back yard floods and that's where the grill is, not likely to happen.

DH had to go in to the office since he is having a biopsy on his prostate Thursday to rule out prostate cancer and felt guilty for taking the day off. The up side is I made potato salad and cole slaw so *if* we grill we have food to go with it.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE!!

I am taking Rylee to the Florida Aquarium.
Chris has to work.:(
But, the good thing about that is that he gets paid double time and a half.:)

We had a barbeque yesterday with all of DH's family. Today, we're just going to relax and enjoy being a family. I think DD may be getting sick but if she seems well we may go walk along the beach and let her play at the park.

We rented a sod cutter and spent yesterday and today removing my whole back yard. Next is tilling it, getting more topsoil in, grading it and planting it.

We were going to the bronx zoo, but the parking lot was all full, so we went to the bronx botanical garden instead. They had lots of arts and crafts at the children's garden. It actually was pretty and ds enjoyed the trip.

Last time we were there he hated it. Must have been two years ago we were there last.

DH has to work (double time and a half here too!) but I'll be grilling for our family and we plan on spending the day in the pool and relaxing. My oldest wants to go to the cemetery to see the memorials put up and visit our family's site.

We are going to have a BBQ at our house out on the deck. The weather is BAEUTIFUL!

Today was a lazy day for me lying in the hammock. (I also did a bit of yard work) DH was a little busier. He is building DD a swing set. I'm loving the nice weather and eating more on the grill!:)

Karen-I hope the rain held off!

We grilled out yesterday with friends. Today we were supposed to go to the beach but the forecast stated severe thunderstorms. However, I think they stalled over Karen because it is just now getting dark.
Dh is making pizza for dinner. I read my book all day. It was a very relaxing day. Two of our kids are spending a second night with friends on the beach so it's only two at home last night and tonight.

Went to the Milwaukee Public Museum to see the Pearl Exhibit today. It was sooo cool! Got to see lots of pearls and got to learn a lot about what pearls are made of and why they are lustrous! We also got to learn how they are cultured and how they are harvested. It was very interesting! I got a little snowglobe, with a pearl inside it, in the gift shop.

We also saw an IMAX movie about lions. That was interesting, too!

We had a nice cookout with friends and family, today is DH's birthday so we celebrate it every Memorial Day.
