Does anyone have a Medicalert membership for either themselves or their children? I signed Robin up this morning. It's something I've been meaning to do for him for a long time. He does have a drug allergy, but I got it mostly for the ADHD/Bipolar. If something were to happen I want emergency personnel to know he's on medication. I also thought it'd be a good idea if he's ever picked up by the police (praying that doesn't happen) that they know he's bipolar. They also have a program called Kid Smart that basically is just the bracelet for kids without medical conditions as sort of a means of an emergency contact. Here's their website if anyone is interested. It's $35 for the membership and $20 for annual renewal.

Both my kids are MedicAlert members and wear MedicAlert sport bands due to their severe food allergies. I just updated their profiles and ordered new sport bands last week. :)

I got Robin the black dog tag for now, but will order him a sports band when he tells me which color he wants. He said purple a while back, but I think he should go with black. Whatever he'll wear. :)

My kids get new sport bands every year. They tend to wear out after wearing them 24/7. DS has had the bright orange and green ones but now prefers the plain black. DD has had the zoo animals, ladybugs and is currently wearing the one with soccer balls. I keep the old ones just in case their current bands get lost and they like to switch occasionally. I thought DD would pick the purple one but hasn't yet. I agree, whatever they'll wear! I'm glad MedicAlert has fun options for kids.
