Who does NOT like chocolate?

Just curious. I love chocolate way too much. But when I was pregnant with dd I developed such an aversion for it. The thought of putting a piece of it in my mouth was repulsive. So along comes dd. She doesn't like chocolate, doesn't like the taste, says it's funky. I thought maybe it was just the color of it or something. At Christmas one of my friends made some white chocolate Santa suckers and gave one to dd. She took one nibble and gave it to me and said, "I don't like this mommy, it tastes like chocolate." And the whole world gives chocolate. Her Sunday school teachers and preschool teachers will ocasionally put it in a treat bag. She always has a dissapointed look on her face when she sees it is chocolate. And everybody is always so surprised and will say that they have never met anybody who doesn't like chocolate. I was just wondering how many people are there out there who really don't like it. Just really don't like the taste. BTW, I got over my aversion to chocolate the day I delivered.

My DD who is 4 doesn't like it, the ONLY thing with chocolate she will eat is a Reese's Cup. Weird but no chocolate pudding, milk, ice cream. Only a Reese's cup every now and then.
I love it but it has way to much caffeine for me but I do cheat every now and then:)
My DS 10, will eat choc.ice cream and drink choc. Ovaltine, but never choc. candy.
Now DS who is 19 loves it, candy bars and all the choc. things.:)

DD is the same--no choc milk, ice cream, etc. She has maybe twice said that a Reese's cup was okay, but that was awhile ago. If she gets candy, she'll choose something wil a fruit flavor.

dd is 3 and she won't eat or drink anything chocolate. Come to think of it I didn't like chocolate of any kind when I was pg with her either.

I WISH I didn't like chocolate - think of all those migraines I would NOT have had 25 years ago!

I like chocolate, but I'm not one that *has* to have it. I personally do know one person who doesn't like chocolate at all, but that's it.

My two ds's don't like chocolate that much. They like the Reeses cups, but that is about it. I am not a big chocolate eater myself. I do like an occasional Reeses cup, but I never feel like I have to have it. I guess they get it from me! Now dh, that is another story. He would sell his soul for chocolate.

By Lorebunde on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 - 08:49 am:

I love it and so do my 2 kids. My dd, 8, loves anything chocolate, pudding, candy, ice cream. I'm more the candy bar addict. Some days I rather eat that than food. Not good for the waist line! I guess I'm not a good role model. One thing I am totally against is soda, Hate it!
Hate when my husband gives it to the kids.

One of the kids I watch hates chocolate. He will not eat anything with it.
My hubby craves it ALL the time. He has to have his own private stash in the house. LOL

I can only eat chocolate during a certain time of the month. Otherwise it is like a powerful drug to me. Way too strong and has too much effect on me. Isn't chocolate related to some illegal drug?

I didn't used to be someone who needed chocolate until I started working part time. I would look forward to that candy bar on my break all day. I used to get a candy bar(or 2) on my break until I picked up some extra hours in January and wondered why my clothes wouldn't fit! I became a full blown chocoholic and I actually had to quit bringing any money to work with me or I would get candy! It was a hard habit to break. The extra hours were temporary, that helped.

I don't really like it, actually. I really can't stand chocolate ice cream or milk chocolate. If it's dark chocolate, I like it- sometimes, but it usually has to be mixed with something (like on vanilla ice cream)

My middle ds brad doesnt like choc ice cream or nuts!!! We love chocolate pecan frozen yogurt and he thinks we are soooooo gross. lol So we have to keep vanilla onhand for him.

Funny thing is he eats choc candy all the time???

Another funny-- when I was prego with him I had a VANILLA shake everyday!!!!! LOL Funny that he likes vanilla ice cream. :)
