I have about 200 CDs. They are currently stored in their cases in a cd storage shelf which looks like a book shelf.

Problem - I find it's a dust collector and Matt likes to tear all the cds off the self so I have had to make a barricade to prevent him from getting near it.

Does anyone have any storage suggestions?

I saw a program on t.v. where they bought a small external hard drive for the computer and downloaded all of the cds onto it. They didn't mention though how you played them. My computer is in the basement and my sterio upstairs and I'm not even certain the two can be linked. Has anyone heard of this? Do you know how it works? I would love to get rid of all my cds. They also mentioned that you could store all your digital photos on this hard drive. I think this would be great as well cause they take up memory and I end up backing them up on cds - so now I have more cds!

I have an external hard drive to download my photos from my memory sticks/flash cards into - it's called Wolverine. You can store anything you want on it, I just bought it to take places to download the photos to, then I transfer them to my computer. I wouldn't have a clue as to how to play your CD's from it though - I'm electronically challenged!
