By Conni on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 - 11:27 pm:

Sooo, I am a little tired, hot sweaty from working outside, it's hot in house cuz we dont have a/c on yet, etc... (have all the windows open and fans going), dh *still* not home from his business dinner, yadda yadda...

Kids keep leaving messes in house, when I am outside working. (tonight i was washing my van on the drive, and several other chores) I am mad because someone slammed the dishwasher shut and broke a glass and left it, they had actually done the dishes for me once and then left a bunch more dirty ones in the sink, and then someone drank all blake's whole milk (well almost all of it) that he needs to drink with some medicine he is on. I was pretty darn hacked off! LOL Walked over to the stairs and screamed 'BOYS GET TO THE RAIL RIGHT NOW!!!' (rail= banister) here they come all 3 of them lined up. Feel like i am raising the darn 3 stooges somedays.

Uh huhhhh, thats when I realize *all* my windows are open and the whole neighborhood probably heard me. :) Nice... Now THATS a bad mommy moment. :)d

They did come back down and do the dishes *again*, clean up the broken glass, and apologize for drinking the milk that I was keeping seperate from the other milk and I *thought* they knew that. Talk about *forgetful* kids.

Its never ending.

I feel your pain. Raised 3 boys. Had one of those yelling fits one day in the back yard. I was so mad at the time, I didn't care if the police had come and arrested me. I kept thinking that maybe I would get some rest. But no such luck!!!

(((Conni)))) You've been going crazy lately, huh? I hope things calm down! Don't worry about the neighbors, I had an entire city block (including 4 horseback police officers) staring at me while Shane threw a tantrum in a Dallas crosswalk last week. I'm sure your neighbors have yelled a time or two, haven't we all?! :)

Jade is at that stage where she will just scream to scream well if the windows are open I swear my mom can hear her 3 blocks away. She is loud and long winded. I feel for you it happens. Have a better day today hopefully.

{{{{{CONNI}}}}}} I am sure we have all exposed the public to our *bad mommy* sides at one time or another.

I can remember when my youngest 2 were preschool age, and the older 2 were teens, I had gotten home from work and totally lost it. I was yelling - heck, let's be honest, I was screeching at the top of my lungs that day (I'm embarrased to say! LOL) - and my then DH (not *dear*!) had just driven up into the driveway, and he walked into the house and told me he could hear me screaming outside. How embarrassing - the windows were CLOSED!!!

I hope things calm down for you soon!

Conni, the "whole neighbhorhood" heard you being a GOOD mommy. You were making your kids be responsible for their actions.

{{{Conni}}} We all have those Mommy moments. The one time when DS was about 5 he was having a temper tantrum and he was yelling, I was trying to calm him down and one of the neighbors from across the street came over to see if everything was ok.
I was so embarrassed, but it has happened to me.
Hope today is a better day for you:)

{{{Conni}}} I have to laugh because last summer we had our windows open, so did my neighbor(who has 3 boys). My 2 ds's were going at it and I could hear hers. All of a sudden all you could hear was both of us yelling at the top of our lungs. We both walked out on our back porches, looked at each other and started cracking up!!

Believe me, you are not the only mom to yell. We have all done it at one time or another!

I screamed at dd a couple of years ago because I couldn't find her after school (she'd stayed to play with a friend and hadn't told me), and I was so relieved after finding her at home (after being scared to death). We were in the front yard and I KNOW the whole neighborhood heard me! You are not alone! ;)

Debbie, your story cracks me up! LOL
