Mother's Day nightmare

I wanted to post here, to see if anyone has been through this. Morgan (age 3.2) decided at dinner (at a restaurant) to BITE the glass and the ice. I quickly told saw it and told him to spit it out, wiped out his mouth and that's when I felt a sliver of glass on his tongue and saw blood on my napkin (I was using that to wipe). I freaked. I called the ped- he said, drink lots of fluids (do they say that for everything?!) and if he vomits or is bleeding to call back (none of that has happened.) I'm not sure how long I need to be worried, but I got the sense from him that it was "through the night." ANyone ever dealt with this? I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. Actually, lately it's multiple issues. Douglas is a wreck as well... Taking him to the psych today....

All I could think of yesterday was "At least we didn't end up in the ER!" That's where we spent Christmas with Morgan! (asthma)

I'm a little surprised they didn't tell you to have him rinse his mouth repeatedly to avoid swallowing any small slivers of glass. You've made it through the night, so how is he today?

I was in the kitchen making pies for christmas many years ago and I heard the strangest crunching noise. Went to investigate and my then 3 yo who would eat ANYTHING was munching on something. Asked him what he was eating and he stuck out his tongue and showed me a half eating christmas ornament in his hand. He was chewing on an antique glass christmas ball. There were shards all through his mouth, why he wasnt badly cut I attribute to the christmas angel. He was ok too. I think the boys is why I have grey hair AND zits.

I would think that if you havent had any problems w/ bleeding or vomiting by now that the danger is past. Boy they sure do put you through your paces dont they?

He didn't say rinse it out- but I did anyways. I also had wiped it out.

Those gray hairs are really sprouting! AHHHHHHH!

BTW- A couple of people have mentioned that same Christmas ornament scenairo today. I still haven't heard the ice in the glass one though....
