Does anyone have one, or have a friend who has one? It is a cleaning system that only filter is water and it is very expensive.

Guess I should explain myself better... Is it worth the money? How much (if you do not mind) did you pay for it? Do you have animals, allergies, asthma? How often do you use it? What are the pros and cons?

My dearest friend had one, she lost it in her divorce..lol. She loved it when she had it, but replaced it with a wind tunnel and comments how much nicer it is to vacuum. I borrowed it once, it did a good job. The kicker is, if you have stairs it is just a pain to move around. It is a canister vac, so unlike an upright you deal with a bulky canister. Again it cleaned well, but I don't think it cleaned better than any other good vacuum. My friend probably only pulled it out to vacuum once every two weeks because it was a hassle.

We had my MIL's rainbow in our first apartment. She loves it and claims it does a great job. She's had it for 21 years and it has held up very well. I think she paid around $1,200 for it then.
Personally I hated it and refused to use it. However the apartment that we were in only had a shower stall and no bathtub. The kitchen sink was too small and there was no sprayer so filling it was a huge pain. It was our only vac so everytime you had even a small mess you had to fill it up. I would keep a normal vac for quick, small jobs.

Thanks Kaye! I do not have stairs, and have all wood floors. I sweep twice a day and mop once a day, it is insane! I am on my second floor mate in a year, they are such junk.
I want a vac that cleans really well and the fact that it only uses water is what is reeling me in!

If you are looking for a water filtration system then a hyla is what you want. The same people make it and it is far improved. It is a rainbow, but with the little annoyances so much better and more light weight.

Just be careful on the hardwood floors. My husband installs them and you really need to be careful of how much water you get on the floor. Most woods floors are recommended to be cleaned with special cleaners and "mop" head. We use Bruce floor cleaner, if we use anything else it voids the warranty on the floor. Good luck and happy cleaning!

Actually it all sounded good when the guy was explaining it to us i'm not sure exactly how much it was but i know it was too much for how often i use it i would love to just have a regular vaccum to where it wouldn't be such a hassle to take out fill up and all of that plus the attachments aren't any fun to get on either. When i do use it is works great but that's WHEN i use it which isn't very often...I actually use a broom more than i do the rainbow.

My mom has one and it visited me quite a bit I liked it a lot. I hated dumping the dirty water though. Now I have Dyson I like just as well.
