Spotting!

Is it normal to have very very faint pink spotting early in a pregnancy? I am about 8 wks, and I have seen some spotting in the last hour. Should I call the dr? I am switching doctors, and I haven't even seen this one yet (i go on monday) but I have her number.
I don't have any other symptoms, except my back hurts a little, but it hurt throughout my last pregnancy. Any advice?

Yes, you should call the doctor, but Yes, it is normal. I spotted with my 3rd in my first trimester and they had me come right in.

Yes, you should call a doctor anytime you have spotting during pregnancy. It will probably be nothing but it can't hurt to check on it.

I called the doctor, he said everything should be ok. He told me to take it easy until it stops. He said I probably irritated my cervix from doing too much, lifting, bending etc.
I plan on relaxing tonight and tomorrow morning, and I might call in to work if the spotting is still there.

Take it easy. I'm glad you called the doctor and found out for yourself that it was normal. Do take your doctor's advice and just relax. :)

It can be normal. Just keep on top of it and take it easy. I spotted with Randy for a couple weeks. My OB said the placenta was sitting very close to the cervix and that was why. She just told me not to exert myself too much. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
