AFter the cleaning question, I was just curious. What is your typical day like.

I am an unmotivated worker and am a slob...just going through a phase, which i hope passes soon.

Today was a good day so far. My kids are in school from 8-3. I got up showered, dressed took them to the store to buy donuts (special for field day), then took them to school. Came home and worked on some GS stuff on the computer, probably for an hour and a half. Then I took an hour nap. Then I got up and cleaned my tv room and my kitchen. Now I am back on the comp, eating my lunch of cheese and crackers because i didn't want to mess the kitchen! If the day goes good I will vacuum and clean the dining room and get to the grocery. Chances are it won't. I have some pta stuff that I need to get done, it is taunting me. I have a GS meeting at my house until 4:30, then we have swimming. Then I will come home, maybe cook dinner, maybe pick up something, watch tv and go to bed.

Typical day for me is, wake at 7 have tea get DS up for school and ready at 7:30 to leave on the bus by 8. When DS leaves I check my email, by then DD is up and I get her breakfast straighten up the kitchen and bathroom, get a load of clothes in the washer. When lunch time rolls around I make DH his lunch( he is home everyday for lunch) and DD. Clean up that mess, usually vacuun and take time with DD to play and go outside.By 4 we are in doing DS's home work and preparing dinner. Eat at 5, clean up. Take a little R&R time with the kids then bath time and bed for kiddos by 9. Watch TV and in bed by 11:30.
Not that everyday is like that but its a typical day when I am home. At least 3-4 days a week me and DD are out shopping or visiting my dad.

I get up at 6am and exercise before my dks get up. If they aren't up by 7am, then I wake them up. We leave for school about 8:10. On Monday, Wed, Fri my youngest ds is in school until 11am. On Tues and Thurs. he goes to swimming as soon as we drop my oldest off at school. I clean or do laundry for about an hour each morning to keep on top of things( I have a schedule that I follow) I also try to run my errands when my youngest is in school. After lunch I play with my ds or spend time on the computer if he is keeping himself entertained. We pick up my oldest from school at 3:30 and then we have snack and do homework. My ds's will usually play together and I read or do something I want for about an hour and then I start dinner. After dinner, we usually go outside for a walk, play board games, or do something as a family. Then dh gives the boys a bath and we both put them to bed. On Thursdays I help at at school during recess and ds has OT, so our afternoon is busy. And, the boys now have baseball games on Wed and Thurs. nights, so we eat early and go to the games. Sat. both boys have a baseball game and then Sunday is our family day. We try and do something fun together.

Hubby goes to work at 6:30 AM.
We are all up by 9:00 AM.
I make coffee and breakfast.
The kids start school (we homeschool)after breakfast.
I go over the days school work with the kids and explain any new work. They work their way through it letting me know if they need any additional asistance from me.
I have my own daily chore list so each day I have a room to "deep clean". I get started on that when the kids are doing their AR books (reading the books and then taking the tests).
I make lunch and we discuss what they learned.
Afternoon is errand time.
3 days a week I pick up 2 kids from school and baby-sit them unitil their mom picks up around 5:30 PM.
At 5:30 I make dinner or assist Jessica (she is a budding chef).
4 nights a week we have baseball games/practice for Addison at 6:30 PM.
Friday nights we have movie night. I buy a new movie during the week and we get take-out for our family night.
Saturday-Sunday I baby-sit two girls that are left overnight at our house.
Yvonne

In two weeks I start an art class that is every Thursday from 6:30-9:30 PM. I can't wait!!

Well, I just wrote a HUGE post, and it got deleted. :o(
7:30 wake up and get everyone up, change, dress and feed Emily and Chrissy and get everyone else to keep moving
8:20 put E and C on the bus
8:30 drive Meg and Kayla to school
9-10:30 homeschool Nicole, eat, check mail, change laundry around
10:30-1:30 drop Nicole off at school, run errands, go to appointments, shop, etc
1:30 - 3 maybe catch a soap, do more laundry, start dinner
3 kids start coming home, homework, time with them
5:30ish dinner, start rushing them out to Brownies, Guides, hip hop, whatever the going thing is
7 start the assembly line of getting them ready for bed.
By 9 I have 3 in bed, and the other 2 quietly watch tv or play on the computer for a bit before crashing.
I'm busy doing the dishes, packing lunches, throwing in laundry
10-12 I watch some tv, play on here, and keep going with the laundry, maybe do some scrapbooking.
I shut down at 12, but still get 2 up to pee, tuck everyone in, throw in another load of laundry, and then hit the hay.

Kaye, I am also a slob, and you'll notice that there isn't a set time for cleaning around here. :o)

Well, I don't have much to do except clean and play with the girls. lol They don't go to school and I don't go to work so for now we are kind of in a "do what we want" stage. Usually in the morning I get up when the girls do and we eat breakfast then I let them watch Dora while I do a clean sweep..meaning there are not many dishes, so I do dishes, go around every room and get the laundry...put that laundry in the wash. Then I pick anything up that is in the livingroom and vacuum, clean the bedrooms and make the beds, & wipe down the bathroom. Then the house is clean. That all takes about an hour or less. I do my deep cleaning only once a week but I clean out my tub everyday. After I finish cleaning, we just play around the house with dolls or barbies, or color or if it's nice we play outside. Then at noon we eat lunch and take a nap. I take a nap with them and we sleep for a couple hours. We get up and maybe go for a walk or go out town and run around. We eat dinner around 6 and then all sit and read books together or talk or sometimes watch a movie and eat some popcorn. I periodically get on the computer during the day just checking in.

Around 9 we all wind down and Hailey goes to sleep first at around 9-9:30 and then Katelyn around 10. When DH is not home I will sometimes go to bed with her, if not I am up for a while trying to get tired, but when DH is home we go to bed around 11. Then the whole day starts over. Weekends and days when DH are home are different though. We usually clean in the morning but then we are out town all day doing something. :)

Geez...I sound very unorganized..lol But this works for me, the house stays clean and the kids are happy..:)

"Geez...I sound very unorganized. But this works for me, the house stays clean and the kids are happy.."

Then everything is working as it should be! LOL Many people would envy you.

*My* days are boring - get up @ 5:45, stagger into the shower, hoping I don't fall since my eyes are not yet open, stumble out, finish all my bathroom stuff (teeth, hair), make my way into the kitchen for much needed coffee, do makeup, spend a few minutes online, more coffee, dry hair, dress, more coffee, leave for work.

Arrive @ work, MORE coffee, deal with raging idiots on the phone and calculate my fingers to the bone for the next 8 hours, and then I am off to either the pharmacy or grocery store almost every day.

Come home tired, ponder over dinner, throw something together to eat, while doing laundry and sneaking on the computer, clean kitchen, more laundry or cleaning, try to have some *alone* time with DH and/or watch TV, hope I fall asleep, and start all over the next day. LOL

Weekends are different, thank goodness!
