Water Spots in Shower

Does anyone have any tips for keeping water spots in your shower to a minimum?

My SIL is a neat freak and she squeegies her shower every time someone uses it. I don't have time for that.

I spent quite a bit of time yesterday scrubbing the whole thing down with Comet and it is sparkling now. It is fiberglass btw, but I know that after it is used a few times those pesky spots will be back.

Any practical tips for a busy person?

Using a squeegie takes less than a minute. It really is a quick and easy solution.

You can also use Rain-X (I think that is what is called). It is sold for car windshields so that when it rains that water beads up and rolls right off. When your shower is clean, apply this to your shower and it will definitely help keep the water spots down.

Wax the walls ONLY. This should help. I would use a paste wax.

Ditto Melanie. I think using a squeegee takes less time than a deep cleaning every week or so. I've heard good things about using Rain-X or car wax to keep the water spots down but haven't tried it.

Could you put the Rain x on the door as well or would that leave a mark? Our door is glass.

Rain-X is made to be used on glass. I've used it with no problems.
