I print off alot of recipes from the internet and cut out alot of recipes off boxes, out of magazines, you know. Well I am not really a terribly organized person and my recipes were always all over, and the printed ones would always get something on them so that I couldn't read it the next time. Then I couldnt find out where I found them in the first place and would spend hours sitting here looking for that one recipe. I solved my own problem, and once I did this I realized that it was a great solve for other people and have made these up as gifts, and it costs under $10.

Get a nice three ring binder and the clear transparent sheets that you can stick paper between. Buy a pack of multicolored paper. I print out the recipes according to what the recipe is, salads are on green, meat is on pink, bread on yellow, that sort of thing. If I have cut out recipes I tape them to the right colored sheet and then stick them in a transparency. Then the sheets go into the binder accourding to color. That way if I want a meat recipe I just go to the pink section. If I spill on the sheets I just wipe them off. It has helped SOOO much and I was thinking about it and thought I would share.

Hhmmm...not a bad idea! I have a 3 ring binder but didn't consider those transparent protectors! Good idea!

That's a great idea! I use a couple of 3-ring binders for recipes I come across and want to keep. I use the dividers with tabs to differentiate between ground beef meals, chicken, slow-cooker, etc.

I use a transparent sheet to take out a recipe sheet and not have to worry about spilling on paper. I just don't put them on all the sheets - too expensive - I just pull out the recipe I'm using and place in a sheet to use while I cook.
