Warmer climate house paint question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive April 2005: Warmer climate house paint question
By Kim on Saturday, April 16, 2005 - 11:17 am:

I heard that in Florida some people use a light aqua colour on their eaves and outside ceilings and it is supposed to prevent the attraction of termites. Does anyone know of any other colours that are effective for this? I would like to paint the trim on my house and I am trying to take termites into account at the same time. They can be bad here. TIA for any info.

I live in an area that is known for termites, and I have never heard of a paint color detracting them.

lived in fl all my life, never heard of color relation w/ termites. auqa is a popular color of the old fl, but so is pink...and lots of houses have a glitter sparkle in them to reflect the fl son.
