I'm about to get a ball from Freecycle but it has a name engraved on it. Do any of you know how to get it off? Does it have to be filled in, or just polished away? Any idea on a price for doing that?

I think it has to filled in, if it is polished it can mess up the shape of the ball, I could be wrong though. I would guess between 10 and 15 dollars. You could just leave the name on and call it your bowling nick..lol

I don't have any info to share.But one day a few yrs ago,I bought a bb at a yard sale that was exactly my size and it even had my name ingraved on it (Wanda)!!And I only gave $1.00 for it.No kidding!!

Wanda, that is amazing!! Your name isn't very common, either!! My post is now unnecessary as it turned out the bowling ball was a 13 pound adult ball. The lady thought it was a child's ball and was offering it for my nine year old. Oh well.
