Bedrest for me!!

It's driving me crazy. I've been on bedrest since Wednesday(because of high BP). I will have to be on it at least until Monday, but possibly until I go into labor. It's soooooo boring!! Anyways, I guess this is just a vent. I'll update on Monday after I see my doctor.

((((hugs))))
Hopefully your due date is fast approaching! I've never been on bedrest, but I can imagine it is probably very boring.

UGH! I was on bed rest with both of my pregnancies. It's no fun! With Jeff I was on bedrest from the 6th month on........ hang in there!

BTDT! I'm grateful that I didn't have any other children to care for when I was on bedrest for 4 months, but the sheer boredom alone can drive you batty! I hope you are doing well. I got through my bedrest by watching TNT. 2 episodes of ER a day, I must have watched the whole series twice!!

Bedrest does suck, I was on it for 3 months. Getting out of bed vibes are being sent your way.

I know it's tough, but make the best of the rest now. Once the baby is here, you'll be missing it :)

{{{HUGS}}} I was there for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy, so I know how you feel! But, everyone is right... Suck it up now, while you can sit back and enjoy the rest! You know how it is! :)

I did bedrest with my last for the last trimester...I feel your pain. I had 2 little ones at home, we watched ALOT of tv! I also found that bedrest didn't have to mean sitting in bed. I hung out on the couch more, it made me feel more human less board. I taught my kids to play games and we could sit and hang out. Oh and I had hubby get one of those small fridges to put by the couch so we didn't have to get up and refill drinks...LOL. I gained at least 15 pounds that last trimester, which was a LOT of weight for me!

I was on bed rest with all three pregnancies, three, four, and five months, respectively. It is AWFUL!!! And there isn't much you can do that you probably haven't already thought of. I did a lot of scraping with my second and third pregnancies. With the first, it was pre-eclampsia and early labor. With the second, it was just pre-eclampsia and my third was pre-eclampsia, preterm labor and the OB's thought my dd had hydrocephelus. I hope you get the best news on Monday. How much longer until your due date?

I'm so sorry. I was on bedrest for about a week or less. But I can honestly say it was really hard having the girls here and it was just really boring! My doctor finally took me off all restrictions a couple weeks ago and now I have been having more and more contractions. I hope all goes well at your appointment on Monday, I'll think of you, I have my appointment that day too. What time is your appointment for?, mine is for 9:30 a.m. I am hoping I have dialated some...lol I guess we will see.

By Kolbysmom on Friday, April 8, 2005 - 09:04 pm:

Well, at least I don't have to worry about keeping Kolby entertained. He goes to my mom's when DH leaves for work. Then I watch TV and sleep on and off until 11 or so and go over there and hang out on the couch.

Tink, I have about 4 weeks left. I'm counting down the days now!!

Candis, I have an ultrasound at 1:30 then my regular appointment after that. Yeah, I hope I'm dialating too, but I'm not going to get my hopes up!!!

(((HUGS))) I've never been on bed rest, but I can imagine how boring it is. I hope everything goes well at the doctors, and they you get to get out of bed!

I was on bedrest with my daughter from about 28 and most 29 weeks. They said that either it was a uti or some sort of hole in the sac that caused me to go into premature labor, she was born at 33 and a half weeks. But I know what your feeling, it is booorring!! I had bed baths, and dh shampooed my hair using a shampoo tray, I had long hair in a spiral perm... I read magazines, did search word, soaps, I thought it would never end but it did and we got through it!!! I had a six yr old at home and dh was in USMC going to night school, MIL had to fly out to help.

Take care...

I was on 2 weeks bedrest 4 years ago starting 7 days before Christmas and ending New years Day. We had been so busy trying to get the house finished and the boys moved upstairs into their new just finished rooms that I overdid it. I went in for my checkup and was contracting and dilated to 3 and I was only at 33 weeks. I had not hardly even begun my Christmas shopping. DH went out and bought alot of gift cards that year and got most of the boys stuff. I couldn't even do any cooking. Dr only let me go to my mothers on Christmas eve if I could recline my seat in the van and promised to lie down the whole time I was at my mom's.
I cried a lot during those 2 weeks.

To put a positive spin on it...just think of it as time to catch up on movies you've been wanting to watch and books you've been wanting to read. Hope it goes by quickly. Remember that you're doing it all for that sweet little baby you'll soon be holding in your arms.

{{{Nikki}}} Take advantage of the time now. When the little one comes you will be wishing you are on bedrest:)
