If you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant

Here is a helpful website I found. It answers just about any question by a doctor.

http://www.babyzone.com/features/expertsqa/default.asp

I was looking for shortness of breath. I kind of sort got an answer. One person asked about shortness of breath with twins at 24 weeks. I'm only 17 weeks and already out of breath when I carry DS up the stairs. I'm not that out of shape, used to run 5k 3 times a week.

Anyone have any thoughts? Do you think it's normal to be out of room already? I remember being out of breath the last time, but I don't remember at what point. I'm showing that's for sure and this little baby feels like a little fish flip-flopping around in there.

I felt out of breath early on...around 4 months? I felt so stupid. Like you, I considered myself athletic. But, you're sharing your blood system so everything has to "catch up".

I was out of breath almost immediately. When pregnant this time, I had just finished 3 10 wk sessions of very hard workouts w/ bands and kick boxing. I actually had to leave the floor several times due to lack of oxygen. I felt like such a fool (had no idea I was pregnant). I also lost my strength. I had to drop the resistance of my bands almost immediately as well. I couldn't figure out why I was getting so weak and out of breath all the time.

I recall the instructor (and she was totally fit) not being able to talk thru the workout due to pregnancy. She was just 3 months when that started.

I love Babyzone.com, I check my calendar at least weekly. Very cool info and cool site.:) It goes away (the shortness of breath) you are really tired during the first trimester. It gets easier then the last bit gets hard again..lol Good Luck.

I had shortness of breath both times I was pregnant. Near the end, it felt impossible to breathe.
