Going to Argentina!!! Very exited but a little stressed. lol Just got back from Spring break trip to visit family which was a pretty good trip. Youngest ds and I keep getting sick tho-- so that was a little frustrating. Came down with another cold/sinus type crud thing.

Running around like crazy today! Leaving tomorrow for Buenos Aires (dont even know how to spell it! lol). Should be interesting. I'll try to take lots of pictures to share.

Heading home on Sunday. Will be sad to leave but great to see my boys!!! I miss them.

Tomorrow dh is off work so we are taking a ferry to Colonia, Uruguay for the day. Will have lunch there and a city tour. I am excited.

Using internet in the hotel lobby!!! ROFL Pretty cool.

Looks like I have alot of catching up to do on the board....

Its been fun but am ready to get home to my boys!!!!!!!! I miss them so much. Dh left this morning for Brazil to finish up his business trip. He'll be home next weekend.

I am home and it is soooo good to see my boys and be back in the USA... Exhausted and going to bed shortly.

Dh took the camera with him to Brazil for the last leg of his trip. Maybe he can email me some pics to post. Otherwise it will be this weekend before I have my camera back.

It was interesting. But not somewhere I would want to live. I am really spoiled to the good old USA. Not sure how to describe it. Different is probably the best way to describe it. lol

Kids begging on street

People 'makeing out' everywhere (just way to mushy for me, gagging myself) They all seemed so happy and in-love-- clearly they werent married. rofl Come to think of it I wonder what the divorce rate is there?

People smoked everywhere even in the bathrooms-- i thought i was going to choke many times breathing all the smoke.

5 days was not near enough time to spend there. There is so much to see-- I think 10 days would be about right.

The wine and food were wonderful! We ate alot of meat. They eat very late at night. We were the only wierdo's in the rest. at 7 pm. LOL They eat around 9pm... uhhhh I am dead tired by 9pm.

They drive with no rhyme or reason. I have never seen anything like it. I could never drive there. Its just crazy.

Thats all I can think of right now! Need sleep. Flew for approx 12 hrs, then drove 2 hrs to Tulsa to pick up Blake at my sisters house-- then drove back home. yawn yawn...

Karen, our hotel was in the middle of downtown Buenos Aires (approx 6 mill). The only time I saw green grass was when we would drive out a ways and they have these areas between the roads with grass. Now, in North America we call these *medians*... But people were laying on blankets in the grass between the streets just hanging out, playing Futbol (soccer), flying kites and of course KISSING. rofl

A man dh works with told me that some of the families are so poor that they will send their little bitty kids (blakes age- 5yo) to the city on a bus (1-2 hrs ride) on Monday and the kids will stay at school until Friday then take bus back home for the weekend. They do this because it means their child will have a meal at the school everyday. Otherwise they may only have 2 or 3 meals a WEEK. I barely let my 11 yo walk 2 blocks to school. I usually drive him!! And we have never worried about not having a meal everyday.

Like I said very *eye opening* for me.

I was sick all last night, so I hope it is just coincedence and not a bug I brought home. argh!

I cant wait for dh to get home I want to see the pic's too!!
