Good tasting vitamin for kids?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive March 2005: Good tasting vitamin for kids?
By Vicki on Monday, March 28, 2005 - 10:47 am:

Dd is 10 and I will be going out later today and will be looking for a good multi vitamin for her. It has to be something that is chewable and tastes good. Anyone have a suggestion for me of ones their kids like? We have tried the gum ones and she wasn't impressed at all. I am posting this here instead of the parenting because I need responses faster. I think this board is more heavily visited. Hope it is ok! TIA

I buy the gummy bear ones that are at the health food store. I can't remember the name. Whatever vitamin you buy, look for one that meets USP standards.

DD likes the Bugs Bunny vitamins made by One A Day.

There is a post on Vitamins on the parenting board if you want to check it out though. :) My girls take Flintstones and beg for more. They are youngerthan your dd though. Good luck.

My kids have taken the gummy bear vitamins from Trader Joes for years. I've tried them and there is no vitamin aftertaste at all. I wouldn't have known it wasn't a regular gummy bear if I hadn't taken it out of the jar myself. If you don't have a Trader Joes nearby, they are available in health stores under another brand name.

My kids (and myself) take the Scooby Doo fizzy vitamins. They are so picky, and I've tried them all, gumballs, gummys, etc.

I like the Scooby Doo's myself because they don't upset my stomach like most "grownup" vitamins.

My son used to take the Flinstones one (with iron) and loved it.
