My 15yo dd is going to Orlando next month with her band. They are going to the Magic Music Days at Disney World.

She just found out that they are going to be staying at the All-Star Music Resort! What a lucky kid! We have looked at the pictures and she is so excited! She has never been to Florida, or Disney World.

Oh my goodness, my DH would LOVE that pool (he plays the piano) That's really pretty.

Doesn't that look like a cool place? I wish I could go. They were told they would get a boring hotel (like a comfort inn, or something like that!) This is way cooler!

Looks like she will have a fabulous time:).

My niece, 17, just went to Disney World with her band, too. She's from Gurnee, Illinois and when they left Chicago it was like 15 degrees. Orlando was 75. She loved it. It was her first time to Disney. Your daughter will have a blast and make some great memories :)

OH WOW! That is like a dream trip! Especially for a 15 year old. I hope she takes pictures, and you post them for us to see.

She is going to have a wonderful time. Yes, we want to see pictures when she comes back!

She is taking a camera and we are going to buy her a bigger memory card before she goes. I will post pics!

I went to Disney World in 2001, me and the kids (DD, my 2 cousins that I treated as a graduation present). We stayed at the Disney All-Star Sports resort. Your DD is truly going to love it. I'm going again this August 2005 for 7 days. But this time I'm going to stay at HomeWood Suites in Lake Buena Vista. This place is supposedly owned under the Hilton hotel chain and they only have suites so I can't wait to check it out. Again hope your DD really have a nice and wonderful time.

I went to Orlando with my high school band in 1995. It was SO MUCH FUN! We didn't stay on the property though, we stayed at a normal hotel. We actually were down there for a competition and then went to wet n' wild, Universal Studios and Disney World.

It's been ten years and I still look back on that time and smile. It was a 22 hour bus ride (UGH!) but it was tons of fun with my friends. We have great memories from that trip!

Tell her to take tons of pictures!

She is planning on taking lots of pictures. The trip isn't until the end of April, so you have a bit to wait. It will be a LONG bus ride, but she does have lots of friends in band. (Isn't that what band is for - friends?)

They get back on a Sunday and are REQUIRED to be in school on Monday. No slacking off if you are tired! LOL!

I got to go to St. Louis, with my band. We got to go to Six Flags twice, go up into the St. Louis Arch, ride a riverboat and do some sort of competition! I barely remember the competition. I just remember people pairing up with people in band, even though they had other boyfriends/girlfriends, back home (dubbed the St. Louis Flings!). I also remember we got almost NO sleep! That was only an 8-hour bus ride. I remember it seemed it took forever to get there. I don't even remember the ride home. It was FUN!

I told my kids when they started band, that if they stuck with it until high school, they got to take fun trips!
