By Tink on Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 04:18 pm:

ROFL I don't think I've EVER noticed that. You can be sure I'll be on the lookout for that.

Yep, a sure sign. Ducks where we walk have been rather amorous lately. LOL

Our neighborhood ducks are back. I think they are the same ducks every year. they often walk through our yard. We saw them in the neighbor's yard this morning. So, everytime we see the ducks, we are yelling DUCKS, DUCKS! LOL!

In the pond, on the way to school, we saw 2 geese, leaning their heads and necks towards one another. Kids saw that, too. Not getting it on, but doing the courtship thing!

When my DH came home I told him about it, and he thought that it was funny. When he was working today, he saw two ducks. The male flys up to the female and pins her to the ground. LOL. Spring is definately in the air now.

LOL, that's cute! I love Spring. Now only if we could get some *real* CA. weather, I can wear my Spring clothes. :)

We saw the ducks too! The funny thing is DD, age 6, comes running inside yelling "mommy, mommy! The ducks are FIGHTING!" I told her I was sure they were not. Having just ended our pregnancy and all the questions that go with it, I told her they were going to make babies. She replies "so you fight each other?" I told her no and that the "boy duck is putting the sperm into the girl duck".....she looks out the window "ooohhhh. Guess that takes a lot of hard work!" End of the conversation.

NEXT DAY! We are watching one squirel playing in the yard. A second one joins in. They are very cute running and playing. They start to tumble around. Then one mounts the other as best he can. "Do you think they are making babies?" I said probably. The door rings, it is a repair man. As he is waiting for the problems to occur on phone, we continue to watch squirels. A third squirel jumps in. Now three are tumbling. DD says "I guess they both want to put sperm in the girl" WHat a moment! The repair man never did say anything, but I bet he got a good laugh at it.

I am so not ready for those conversations with my son who is almost 7. And god know s as blunt as Richard is I don't want him to explain it to Timmy.

I was down by my flowers once last summer and I saw two ladybugs getting it on! LOL! We have never seen the ducks getting it on, just the two of them hanging out together.

One year, we had a pregnant squirrel coming to the birdfeeder. She was very fat. Sometimes, I saw the skinny male running around. Then, I didn't see her for a while. When she reappeared, she looked like she had been nursing babies! It was rather fascinating.

Way too funny, Dana, I think I probably would have left it at yeah they're fighting..lol:)

No ducks getting it on here. I know it's Spring when I have to start chasing the geese away!

A sure sign of spring is dead skunks on the road at night. I drove by 3 last night.

By Rayanne on Saturday, March 19, 2005 - 08:16 am:

I have never seen a real skunk.

The local guys have got their classic 442's, Camaros and Mustangs roaring down the road.
