My ds (11) won an essay contest and gets to go to an AWESOME summer camp this year free of chg. I am so excited for him and he is too!!
WOO HOOO!

Camp costs almost $1000 to go too. It isnt something he'd ever get to do without winning this...

Thanks everyone! I forgot about this post. lol! I no longer hit the *last day* button. I just click on *topics*. I find I dont spend as much time on here when I do that.

Dawn, it is a christian sports camp. I thought about posting the website (because it is really cool), but dont want strangers to know where my baby is going this summer and when! (know what I mean?) The horse camp sounds like something my niece would enjoy Dawn!! You'll have to let me know how your dd liked it.

Hiedi, all the 4/5/6 graders wrote a paper on why they should be chosen to attend this camp. I have not seen a copy of the paper yet!! So I am not sure what it said. I wish they'd send home a copy of it. It was not a paper that he had to do any research for. Just what he felt and why. He is a good writer. He LOVES reading and writing.
