I'd mentioned in the snowstorm post that my brother was just north of Denver today and it was possible that if his next load (he's a truck driver) brought him my way he'd get to visit. Well it didn't. He headed back towards NE. It would have been nice to see him. I haven't seen him for three years now. Oh well. Maybe next time.

sorry Cat like you said maybe next time. My husband also drives a truck and that is just the way things are. I have traveled around 90 miles to see him at a truck stop before because it would be out of the way for him to come home or he would be out of hours. 3 years is a long time to not see a sibling.

Three years is a long time, Candis. I haven't seen my other brother (who also drives truck, but never makes it out this way) for almost 4 years and I've never met his 2yo dd--my niece! The kids and I are going home in June. So I will get to see everyone then. It just would have been nice to see him today. I didn't think I'd be so bummed about it, but about 20 minutes after he called it really hit me. I was walking out the door when he called, so he said he'd call back later. I'm looking forward to that.
