Free Laptop ?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive February 2005: Free Laptop ?

Has anyone clicked on the free laptop ad yet? I've never done this yet and I was wondering if anyone else is trying for it.I read the thread that explained how clicking onto these ads helps curb the cost for the owners of Momsview, which is a good thing. But I"ve never done this yet,so I"m sort of confused( or maybe it's just another "senior moment").Anyway,thanks.

I did the free Playstation link, and though I haven't received my voucher yet, it has been 8 weeks. Feona had contact numbers for that, so I'm sure she can give you information on the laptop one as well. :)

I started the free laptop link but it got too involved/ complicated then started to put conditions on top of everything. The lightbulb went off in my head and it glared "nothing is FREE".

I did this years ago for a free palm pilot. It was a huge hassle for a cheap product. I should have known better to even want to try this time. LOL

I dont ever do things like that. Because Im a firm believer nothing is ever really free. I see pop up ads for free gift certificates to restaurants or stores, and then you go to start filling out the form, and find you have to sign up for something or another that cost money. Yesterday in my e-mail one of those survey sites were offering a 20$ certificate for a survey, so I go to fill it out, and they want your credit card number, OH NO.. I hit delete and remembered most things that say they are free are not.

I haven't here, but at other places and most of the time you have to subscribe to a magazine or buy something else. I have also noticed an increase in spam as a result of supplying my email address.
