How many of you use the internet for weather forecast? And what site do you find accurate?
I look on... accuweather.com, weather.com and weatherunderground.com. And none of them ever have the same weather for our area.
Just curious if you have ever found a accurate one.

We like weather.com.........

By Jann on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 - 09:38 am:

I like weatherunderground too.

We always go to the website for our local news station. We can look at the 7 day forecast for our area if we miss the news.

I use weather.com when we are going away to somewhere. Otherwise, I use the local TV stations.

I use weather.com & my local news station (which is 2 hrs. away). So between the two, we've learned how to get an idea of what may go on. :)

I usually check Yahoo, since it automatically tells me the weather for this area. It's not always accurate, but nothing really is here. Yesterday was 82 and sunny, they had predicted rain.

Weather Underground
Weather.com

Wisconsin Data
WI Weather Stuff
This site gets a little techie, but most of the time I can understand what they are talking about. Once they mentioned dendritic ice crystals. I had to look that one up. It's a techie word for snowflakes! LOL!

When my husband was doing some work for the state of Florida our state meteorologist was using weatherunderground.com for the weather senarios that they were working out.

Hey, Kate! I just checked your profile- Dale Jr. is my favorite driver, too! Wasn't the Daytona 500 awesome???!!!

Anyway, I have a program I downloaded for free called WeatherBug. It places an icon of a ladybug in my system tray (in the bottom right corner of my screen) and when I log on to the internet, it opens up and I see all the weather stats, then it places the temp there in the bottom. If there is a weather alert, I hear a chirp and I click on that icon to view the details. When the hurricains went thru Florida, WeatherBug had a lot of details and pictures.

It's really cool! You can pay 19.95 a year for it and get no ads, or you can get it free and pick sponsors every month or so.

Check it out!
