I think we should play a new game!

I emailed Bubbels along time ago about posting what you do for others. But I think this should be a two part game. For each month list something you have done for yourself and something you have done for others (whether they know about it or not).

It's kinda of a 'feel good game!'

Let's start with February-

myself-I have finally purchased the prescribed vitamins to correct my blood sugar levels. Sounds like a joke, but they were quite pricey and they are working.

someone else-My dad accused my sister of something she didn't do. I had to call and correct him on that. It really upset her, I know he'll never apologize, but she does feel better. And I believe our relationship is getting a little stronger (it's always been holding on by a thread). This makes me feel really good. In fact, I invited her out to lunch sometime and she said maybe around my birthday.

Sorry so long. This is a lot harder that I thought. But it will let us all feel good about ourselves and each other:)

For someone else, a family at church is living with their MIL for a while, since the wife had a sledding accident, broke 3 ribs, her collarbone and messed up a knee. The knee required surgery, so she is looking at a long recovery. I baked some bread for them. Was thinking of bringing them a pot of chili. (Living with MIL, since MIL has a ranch house and they live on the second floor and have to climb 22 stairs to get there. MIL is a very nice woman. There's is a family of 5: the hubby, the wife, a dd 15, dd13, and ds who is 10. These girls are my kids' best friends.)

For me, I have been trying to floss more often. It's not my favorite task, but I can see that my gums look better when I do it more often.

For someone else - I teach the 3 yr olds at church every month.

For me - I scrapbook. It's a great way to look over memories in the pictures. A great way to be creative. And a great thing to do for ME! Of course the books are for all to enjoy, but the act of doing it is something I like to do. And also a great way to get out of the house once in awile and go have fun scrapping with some friends. And also, i have a new treadmill and have been walking on it every other day. I already lost 3 pounds.

For others: Donated toys and items to a family at my ds's school whose house burned down.

For myself: Started eating healthy again. I feel a lot better, have more energy and I'm not tired all the time anymore! (I've lost a few pounds in the process so that's an added bonus:))

For others: We did at least one good deed a day. To keep us focused we write our good deed in a journal. Yesterday we gave our 2nd fridge away to a neighbor who desperately needed one. Today we will be helping a neighbor with yard work.

For myself: I am trying to eat healthier and take better care of me. I am much better at doing for others than I am for myself.

For others, we donated boxes of clothes and books to Good Will.

For myself - I bought myself new bedding so that when I do finally get to sleep my bedroom is a wonderful oasis of comfort and relaxation.
