I just wanted to let everyone know something from a newbie's point of view. Often times we all get comfortable with what we have everyday, but just a reminder...You have a wonderful sense of community and friends here that I haven't seen anywhere else. I have been catching up on a couple of days worth of posts and have been impressed by the support you show to other members by giving the ideas, support, etc., and for the loving support you give in times of sickness and in the final goodbyes of loved ones. Thank you.

I agree with you 100%. I love this site so much and consider everyone here to be like my second family. I have been a part of MV now for almost 1 whole year now, and I think that it is the best. It is because of all the Mods. and of course the members that make this place grrrreat.

It really is a great community. We have our troubles and issues every so often, but more times than not everyone is wonderful with each other. I've been a member for a few years, and there are moms here who have "watched" everyone's children grow up to school-age and beyond. It's really very special.

I full heartily agree. I found the original site when I was pregnant with my second and we bought our first computer. That was in 1993!
We have had two other kids since and countless upgrades and computers!

(I just bought the Valentine heart candies for kids and there is a new one on there: "You Rock". )

Yes, it is the moderators. But much more than the moderators, it is the community. And remember, the moderators are part of the community. I have been comforted, supported, received advice, and been given information I didn't even know I needed until I read it. I wouldn't miss a day, even if I weren't a moderator.

This is one of those neighborhoods that I truly miss if I'm away from from my computer. We have shared each other's joys and sorrows, laughter and tears. After visiting other sites and seeing the horrors that can abound, I feel truly 'home' here.

I agree. I have been a member for a little over 2 yrs (I think) and I love it. I feel very comfortable here and even if I only have a minute in my day, I always come here to check on everyone. I don't post that often, but I do keep everyone here in my thoughts daily.
