Need some canine luck!

We've been looking for a home for our Husky/Shepherd Mix because she is very active. We have a small patio enclosure and the base refuses to move us to a house with a backyard. Lexi has gotten out 5-6 times this week and impounded twice because she is such an escape artist. I have been talking to the Husky Camp here and the owner is going to look at a few of Lexi's pictures online and keep in contact with me. I hope she takes her because they have a big field to run in and they have a pretty complicated adoption process to make sure these dogs get in the right home. So, if you have time... think about us and pray that Lexi gets to take this little "vacation" on her search to a good home. We dont really want to get rid of her but after a few talks we decided that its in Lexis best interest to find her a better home. :(

I'll keep her in my thoughts sweetie.
You are doing the right thing.

Well, they will take her for an adoption fee of $100.00. I told DH and he's kinda sad and honestly so am I. I like her and she has been a pain in the butt since we brought her home but I will miss her. I know I will cry when we take her but after everything is done I will know in my heart that she will be much better in a home that can give her more attention. I never thought i'd be one to give up an animal but here sits the decision right in front of my face. It's hard. :(

I know. But you have to put yourself in the dog's paws for a moment and ask yourself, if you think that she is really and truly happy. I know that it will be hard, but we are all here for you.

I know how you feel Melissa. I just gave up my beagle last Saturday. He bit Christopher 2x! We tried to just have him be outside unless the baby was asleep, but it didn't work out for us. I came home from work just as the people were driving away with him. I cried so much! When the bite happened, I was so mad that I didn't even think I cared! But I miss him terribly.
Our other dog (a husky/shephard mix also, BTW) still isn't eating all that well and you can tell she misses him too.
It's so sad. They become part of the family.

Thank you Rayanne and Jennifer for replying. :)

I know it will be a better situation once its done and over with. Until then though, i'm kinda sad.
