I need to know how to get pen off the wall. I used teh mr. clean sponges and they did great on other stuff, but I cannot get pen off without rubbing the paint off. I even painted a coat over it and it still bleeds through. I would appreciate it.

I think you'll need to sand it off. Sand it off using a tiny bit of sandpaper so you don't sand a large area by accident. Prime it, and then paint again. Since you already painted over it you can't really access the root of it now, so I think this is your only solution. Good luck!!

Or, ask at Home Depot or a paint store for a special primer that goes on over permanent marker and ink and really does cover it, and you can paint over. I know, because I've BTDT. Either way, you'll have to prepare the area before you prime or paint, that is, wash and rinse it thoroughly, so the primer and/or paint will adhere.

I consulted my "Haley's Cleaning Hints" book.

Trying using white toothpaste and gently rubbing the stains out. Or: Although this is for clothing it may help on the wall. i would test spot first. Try using rubbing alcohol over the ink stains. it is supposed to lift off the stain. Hope this helps.

My ds wrote on our walls with black marker a few years ago. I had to prime it with special primer and then paint over it. Nothing else worked.

Try hairspray.

You need to put primer over the spot first, and then touch up the spot with your regular paint. Primer hides marks like that and keeps it from bleeding through.
