Does anyone do Weight Watchers on line??

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive January 2005: Does anyone do Weight Watchers on line??

Hi all! I've been away from the board for a while. Not mad, or anything. Just busy.

Anywho.....I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2005!

I just signed up for Weight Watchers on line. I REALLY need to do something! My feet hurt, my knees hurt. I have about 60 pounds to lose.

I am a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers, having lost 50 pounds twice, only to gain it back, and then some, TWICE. There is a new chapter starting up nearer to my home than the meeting that I used to go to. However, it is now up to $13.00 per week ($12.00 for me, being lifetime..). The on line program is only $5.00 per week, payable by the month, $16.95. That's a lot more doable for me. I can't justify $48.00 per month for meetings.

It seems good. You track your progress everyday, on line, i.e. points, weight, etc. Of course, you are on your own to weigh yourself, etc.. However, I feel that at least I have SOME support. I have tried just counting calories on my own, and I last about three days.

Anybody else doing it this way? I'd love to hear. Thanks.

Hol, I have been wondering where you went off too. Please email me at my moderators address in my profile.

No experience with weight watchers although I could use them. LOL I hope someone has a suggestion for you.

Hol! Glad you are back!. My sister did WW online and loved it. The etools are great. You really have to be more slef disciplined and motivated for it to work, though. There's always the tendancy not to weigh in. Also, a big factor of WW success is peer pressure and peer motivation which comes from being in a room with people who all share a common goal. I don't think you'll get that from an online community. ... Unless it's MV of course ...
Good luck!
Ame

THANKS, GUYS, for that warm welcome back! It is nice to be missed. You are the greatest group of folks!

Thanks, also, for the feedback on WW. I figured I'd try it for three months, and see how I do.
