How are you doing on your goals.

Waiting to see what my weight is on August 1. Feeling chunky, like water retention. Still haven't gotten the bike. Chasing kids in summer and gardening helps but its not enough consistent daily movement.

Maybe I'll see your Wednesday post.

Missed Wednesday post yesterday but I am happy to report that I am still losing weight. It's ever soooo sloooowly but surely. I am now at 151 even.

I got sick a couple of weeks ago and I'm still a little affected so I've cut back on exercise. I was down to 148 when I was finally able to get out of bed, though I know that wasn't healthy. I'm sure I was dehydrated.

Dh bought an elliptical machine and has a "vision" for turning the spare room into a fitness room. Of course, for some insane reason, this requires purchasing a new flat screen TV, LOL. I tried the machine and it was TOUGH! Nine minutes, 1/4 of a mile, and 34 calories burned later I quit. lol At least I have a baseline. (Sidenote, dh has yet to try it.)

It was funny, after I did my "workout" on the elliptical we had a snack about an hour later. I wanted to have a drink and couldn't find what I wanted. So I went to the garage where we have the soft drinks. Hmm, there was a root beer. That would hit the spot. Just out of sheer curiosity I looked at the calories on the label. 160! I quietly put it back and drank some soymilk instead.

I worked so stinking hard just to work off 30+ calories. I was not about to ruin it by consuming 160 empty calories. I think that I'm definitely on my to more weight loss, but more importantly, I'm on my to making better food choices. Yay!

Its great that you're so aware. Congrats on working so hard and seeing results. Home gym sounds like an exciting possibility.
