One night down...

Moms View Message Board: Let's Get Fit! (Weight Loss Support Group): One night down...
By Cat on Monday, July 14, 2008 - 10:59 pm:

One more to go. I'm halfway through my Senior III test. We actually did the main physical part last Wednesday (push ups, sit ups, jump rope, running and mop the floors) so tonight was forms, self defense and grappling. Wednesday night will be more forms and self defense, and then sparring. Tonight went pretty well, but I pulled a groin muscle Friday night so I'm still a bit sore. Kicks were hard! lol I also got punched in the nose, scratched on the face and while grappling one of the scabs on one elbow came off so I was bleeding for a little bit. Yeah, we had fun. :) One more night...

Oh Wow, Cat!! It sounds really hard. And, just think, you almost didn't start karate Look at you now!

I am still doing really well with exercise. Food is okay....we are leaving tomorrow for vacation. I will be gone almost 2 weeks, we are going to the lake with my family. The house we are renting is right on the lake, on 10 acres. It has trails, so I can walk, and a pool to jump in afterwards. It has been 100 degrees down there this week, so I will have to go really early, or really late. We will also be water skiing, and doing a lot of other stuff. So, I am sure I will get plenty of exercise.

I will check in when I get back. Good luck on the last part of your test, Cat.

Thanx for the good luck wishes. I forgot to add we're breaking boards and bricks tonight. Bricks are easy, but boards scare me! lol I always end up extremely bruised when I break boards. I think I have to do 2, so maybe I'll kick one. That doesn't hurt as much. lol
