How much water

Moms View Message Board: Let's Get Fit! (Weight Loss Support Group): How much water

How much water do you aim to drink each day? From what I can find, between 80-100oz should be good. I have a 20oz bottle I refill, so that's 4-5 bottles. I'm doing pretty well today--have already finished 3 and started a 4th. I also drink 3-4 cans of diet soda each day. I know, not the best, but at least it's diet. So what do you all do? (or try to do!) :)

I also try to get in 5 20oz bottles in each day. I alternate them with my diet pepsi or coffee. Sometimes I will choke down those last 5oz just so I can get to my caffeine! lol I know there is some formula based on your weight that will tell you how much you should drink but I have no idea what it is.

I have a 44 oz. cup that I start out with of a morning. Usually my goal is one before lunch & one before dinner. I travel a lot, sometimes gas stations are something that are few & far between in the rural areas I go. So, I've gotten in the habit of my 44 oz. cup going with me. I try to drink 3 to 4 of them a day with a diet drink for dinner. Something to break up the monotony. :)

I try to drink which hasn't been happening lately at least 100 oz of water the formula is if you want to lose weight try to drink half of your body weight in ounces per day so for me that would be about 90 some anyways so i just go for the extra...to an even 100..

I was told that at least half your body weight in ounces is really what our bodies need to work properly, whether trying to loose weight or not. The 8 glasses of water a day that we normally hear about would be half your body weight if you were what most of the US considers to be a normal weight of 128 lbs. LOL Which very few are. LOL even harder.
