Online test for symptoms of metabolic resistance

Moms View Message Board: Let's Get Fit! (Weight Loss Support Group): Online test for symptoms of metabolic resistance
By John on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 11:15 am:

Answer questions about your BP, Cholesterol, etc. to see if you might have symptoms of metabolic resistance (also known as syndrome-X).

Syndrome-X is known to often progress to diabetes and lead to coronary artery disease if left untreated.

The American Heart association estimates over 25% of US Adults have it (and may not know it):

Of course, you should see a doctor for any medical advice...

8 months ago I had just about every sympthom (except for the blood glucose) called out in the test:

Blood Pressure (140/85)
Low HDL Cholesterol
Tryglycerides high
Waist size > 40" (man)

Funny thing is that my doctor never even mentioned this to me when I had a checkup 2 years ago.
I wonder how many of them even look for this or do they wait until you get sympthoms of diabetes or heart disease?
