Oprah today: secret language of babies

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Oprah today: secret language of babies

I no longer have babies in my house but if you do, this is a show to watch.
A women has done research on babies and has discovered there are five different sounds babies make for hunger, discomfort, lower gas, burping and sleepiness.

I'm listening to all the sounds and they all make sense to me.

Has anyone else seen today's show?

No i didn't see that show, but when my dd was a baby (she's 7 now) i read that there were 5 different reasons a baby cries, and that there were different sounds.

I remember know which cry meant what too.

I don't think that this is anything new.
