Okay, I know this has been gone over before and I've done a keyword search but still didn't find much. Why, I have no idea. Anyway, I think I'm just bored with feeding Natalie lately. She's not allergic to anything and she's not too picky. She's really a decent eater, but I need some new ideas, so anything would be appreciated. Breakfast and snacks are okay, I think my issue is really with lunch. I'm bored so I'm sure that means she will be soon, too! Here are some lunch regulars:

Whole wheat PB&J
Applesauce
Rotate vegetables (broccoli, mixed, green beans, peas & carrots)
LOTS of cubed chicken with sauces
Ravioli with butter whole wheat bread
Apples- a ton
Baked Potatoes with butter or cheese
Chicken noodle soup (she could eat that EVERY day)
Broccoli Cheese soup

She used to eat lite canned fruit by the barrels, got the stomach flu, and hasn't touched ANY of them since then for some reason! (And no, she didn't puke them up.) So for fruit, we are more limited. She eats lots and lots of apples, raisins, some grapes, and strawberries.

I guess maybe I'm trying too hard to give her a healthy lunch? I always feel like she needs a meat at lunch, but do you do that?

Any new ideas would be appreciated!

I also like to give a healthy lunch. It is so o.k to give a variety of foods.I like to sprinkle wheat germ on all the boys food.

Some of our favorites for lunch:

-Grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup
-Baked fish with mashed potato(mash with sour cream or cream cheese for extra calcium)and vegetable
-rice with beef/chicken Cauliflower and cheese
sauce
-shepperds pie and add a ton of extra veggies
-lasanga
-spaghetti
-toast with apple sauce is one of there faves
-whole wheat crackers with cream cheese
-kiwi
-beef stroganoff
-puree bananas and add to yoguart/apple sauce

I'm drawing a blank, for lunches I try to give a meat at least 2 times a week, fish once to twice a week and the other soup and grilled cheese

Try sprinkling 100% wheat germ on her food when you're feeling its not so healthy. It has 6 extra nutrients.

If I can think of anything else I'll post back!!!

Sherri, your baked fish, is it fresh or frozen, and how do you bake it? What kind of fish is it?
I have such bad luck with fish other than fishsticks LOL. I've never been able to cook baked fish without ruining it.

I'll look and see if they have that brand. Do you use a glass or metal baking dish? Do you thaw the fish or cook it frozen? Thx, Sherri! Also, is there a test you do to see if it's done? Thx.

I prefer glass but I have used metal.I cook it from frozen. So many people overcook it, and it tastes BLAH.It will tell you the directions on the pkg on how to cook it, and different ways to cook it.I think theres about 3 different kinds that are boneless. It will say on the pkg boneless or not.
