Robin had a follow up for his ear and the surgery he had six weeks ago today. The doctor said it looked really good and that it worked! They did a hearing test and she said normal range is a score between 0-20 (110 is deaf). Robin's right ear score in that range but his left ear is still scoring between 25-30 but it's a lot better than it was and she thinks with a little more healing time it will be great. We go back in six months for another follow up and another hearing test. We did end up waiting for about 40 minutes past his appointment time before I finally went up and said, "Look, we've been here for an hour. What's up?" Someone had forgotten to print a second sheet for his appointment so one got put in his chart but one didn't get put on the thing on the wall for the nurse to call him back! When they discovered what happened the doctor himself came out and got us and then the nurse apoligized and gave us a pack of coupons for places like six flags in Denver and Chick Filet. I ended up giving the Chick Filet coupons to a friend who's inlaws live up near Denver because the coupons were only good at two locations and they're both up there. It's over an hours drive for us. That was kind of a bummer because we all love Chick Filet! Oh well. So I'm thrilled this surgery worked and I pray his hearing improves in that ear so it's back to where it should be soon.
